【封面故事】研发下一代航空发动机铝基复合材料风扇/压气机叶片加工技术

西工大新闻网3月15日电蒋睿嵩) 现代民用航空发动机设计指标不断提高,大推力、低油耗、高可靠已经成为新的发展方向,高性能复合材料的广泛应用成为下一代航空发动机的主要特征。原位自生TiB2/Al复合材料因其接近Ti合金的力学性能和更高的强重比,成为下一代商用发动机风扇/压气机叶片的理想材料。

Large thrust, low fuel consumption and high reliability has become the development trend of high performance aero-engine. The widespread use of composite materials becomes one of the significant features of next generation aero-engine. In-situ TiB2particle becomes an ideal material for aluminum matrix composite (Al-MMC) fan and compressor blades of next generation aero-engine, because of its similar mechanical properties with Ti alloy and higher ratio of strength-to-weight.

TiB2/Al复合材料叶片重量相当于空心率为33%的钛合金空心叶片,若采用空心设计,其重量有望达到空心率为45%以上的钛合金空心叶片,可有效减轻发动机重量;此外,其耐冲击(冰雹、鸟撞等)能力比树脂基(石墨纤维/环氧)复合材料更好,具有7倍于树脂基复合材料的抗冲蚀(沙子、雨水等)能力,且任何损伤易于发现,并使成本下降1/3以上。

The weight of TiB2/Al-MMC blade is the same with a titanium alloy blade of 33% hollow ratio. The weight will be reduced as a titanium alloy blade of 45% hollow ratio, if hollow structure is employed on TiB2/Al-MMC blade. Hence, the weight of aero-engine can be reduced effectively. Moreover, the impact resistance performance of TiB2/Al-MMC is better than resin matrix composite, and has a 7 times higher anti-erosion ability. Damage on blades can be easily detected, and the cost can be decreased by 1/3.

张定华汪文虎教授课题组与商发、上海交通大学特种材料研究所、中航宏远公司合作,突破了该新型材料风扇/压气机叶片的切削变形、表面完整性控制等技术难题,成功试制出了风扇叶片及增压级转、静子叶片。汪文虎教授表示:“风扇叶片具有变厚度、大弯掠、高扭转等特点,其叶高约720mm,叶尖弦长约374mm,是目前国内最大尺寸的风扇叶片。风扇/压气机叶片的成功研制,对国产商用发动机的减重优化具有重要意义。”项目相关研究成果已发表在《INT J REFRACT MET H》、《INT J ADV MANUF TECH》等期刊上,并进行了有效的专利保护。

By cooperating with Commercial Aircraft Engine Co., LTD.,Research Center of Special Materials,Shanghai Jiaotong University, and Hongyuan Co., LTD., AVIC., Prof. Dinghua Zhang and Wenhu Wang's group studied the machining deformation control method and surface integrity control method of fan and compressor blades. They also fabricated Fan and compressor blades successfully. Prof. Wang said:" The fan blade is the largest one in our country with a height of 720mm, and chord length of 374mm, and has some properties such as variable thickness, large sweep, and high torsion, which makes it hard to fabricate. The successful development of fan and compressor blades plays an important role in weight reduction optimization of domestic commercial aero-engines. " Related works were published onINT J REFRACT MET HandINT J ADV MANUF TECH, etc.and patents were applied based on related technologies.

汪文虎教授补充:“本项目在理论上进一步完善了颗粒增强铝基复合材切削理论体系。在技术上有效规避了国际航空发动机主承制商为钛合金、树脂基复合材料和SiC增强铝基复合材料叶片构建的专利封锁,形成了具有自主知识产权的下一代航空发动机复合材料叶片设计和制造能力,填补了国内在该领域的空白。”

Prof. Wang added:"Theoretically, this research can further improve the cutting theoretical framework of particle reinforced Al-MMC. Technically, it has developed our own patent to design and manufacture composite material blade for the next generation Aero-engine without the blockade of titanium, resin matrix composites and SiC/Al-MMC blades, which fills the gap in this field of China."
