西工大新闻网3月29日电 （黄琳 摄影记者 郭友军）“The will to win, the desire to succeed, the urge to reach your full potential… these are the keys that will unlock the door to personal excellence.”
要赢的渴望，要成功的愿望，要发挥全部潜能的意志......这一切都是打开卓越之门的钥匙。
3月27日上午10时，2013届研究生留学生毕业典礼在友谊校区正禾宾馆四楼会议室举行。副校长王伟、国际教育学院院长李华星、校友会秘书长张英群、研究生院副院长李勇、学生处副处长王静、教育实验学院副院长杨永、国际教育学院副院长陈洪亮、张文涛和29位硕、博毕业留学生代表以及在校留学生代表共计100余人参加了典礼。毕业典礼由李华星主持。
李华星宣读了毕业生名单，祝贺毕业生经过辛勤的努力终于收获丰硕的果实。来自航天学院的巴基斯坦籍博士生那杰（Najam）代表全体毕业留学生发言，他感谢母校和导师对他培养付出辛劳和汗水；感谢学校在学术、科研、课外活动等方面给予他的支持和机会。他诚挚地表示，会把中国当作他的第二故乡，珍惜对母校的这份感情，把热情和友谊的种子传承下去。他还表示，毕业不仅是人生的里程碑，更是人生新阶段的起航；毕业不是留学生与西工大关系的终结，更是进一步合作交流的起点。
Their love and respect will be remembered throughout our life, and the colors and shades of Chinese culture and civilization will always soothe our soul with its depth and serenity.——那杰
这是留学生对中国传统文化的深切感悟，那杰体会到深邃的中国文化可以慰藉心灵，可以启人心智，他一生都难以忘怀美丽的历史之都——西安和中国人民给予他的爱与尊重，大爱无疆。
来自阿富汗的穆基塔巴(Mujtaba)代表在校留学生作了发言。留学生导师代表教育实验学院杨永教授代表全体导师作向毕业留学生表示祝贺，勉励他们以优异的成绩回报母校和自己的祖国。
为留学生拨穗、颁发证书并赠送毕业纪念品后，王伟副校长代表学校讲话，他赞扬外国留学生努力学习，积极参与各类活动，为校园生活增添了一道独特而亮丽的异国风景，也在他们的人生旅途上留下了精彩一页。他要求留学生要至公至诚、勇挑重担，为社会和国家勇挑责任；要勇于进取、追求卓越，长存敢为天下先的勇气、永不言退的锐气和积极进取的朝气；要乐于奉献、善于宽容，以豁达的胸襟容纳世间万物，直面人生的高潮与低谷，执着自信地去开创明天。他深切寄语广大留学生在今后的学习生活中要成为传播中国文化的友好使者，学校对外交流的宣传者，担当起时代赋予的使命和责任。
西工大自1996年经教育部批准开始招收外国留学生以来，近5年来已经培养留学生1600多人。其中21名本科生，81名硕士研究生、16名博士研究生已顺利完成学业，载誉归国。他们在各自的工作岗位上都已取得了优异的成绩，很多人已成为所在领域的领军人才。今年毕业的 29名研究生留学生分别来自阿尔及利亚、巴基斯坦、哈萨克斯坦、缅甸、蒙古等5个国家，其中11名博士、18名硕士。
目前，共有来自60个国家600多名留学生在校学习。这些学生不但丰富了校园文化，活跃了学校国际化氛围，也成为我校重要的海外资源。他们的毕业将不断扩大我校的国际影响、学术声望，成为西工大国际化建设的重要力量。

Good Morning
It is an honor and privilege for me to represent the graduating International students of Northwestern Polytechnical University here on the graduation ceremony of the of International students.
It is a real delight to be here and representing the galaxy of graduating scholars and engineers completing their post-graduation studies and going to re-join the practical life with new zeal and vigor and equipped with latest knowledge.
I congratulate my graduating fellows on the esteemed success they have earned through honest toil and dedicated efforts.
It is a moment of joy and pride not only for us but also for our families whose unrelenting efforts and prayers have gone a long way in our success.
On this memorable occasion, I extend my heartiest felicitations and gratitude to the president and Vice president of NPU, the NPU administration, the Graduate School and the International Cooperation College.
On the behalf of graduating students, I present my gratefulness to the honorable faculty members and the research supervisors whose sincere efforts have borne fruit in the shape of these graduates.
Ladies and Gentlemen:
Taking this opportunity, I must acknowledge the support and cooperation of the Chinese and International students at NPU in the field of academics, research and co-curricular activities. I, on the behalf of graduating International students thank them all for their support, guidance and assistance and wish them success in all their endeavors.
At this auspicious event, I must admit that we were the ambassadors of our countries here at China and I must say that we feel China as our second home and believe that the graduating students will take this good-will feelings and the culture of hospitality and friendship with them to their home countries and will try to make this bond of friendship even more stronger and deeper on their way back.
Ladies and Gentlemen:
Today is important for us in two ways; firstly it is the graduation ceremony and completion of our one milestones of life and secondly it is the day of weaving a new dream and promises for the next phase of our lives. We feel that obtaining a degree means more knowledge at one side and at the same time more responsibility on our shoulders too. A responsibility towards our family, towards our Alma Mater, towards our home land and especially towards the overall society.
On the behalf of graduating foreign students, I must say that today is not the end of our relationship with NPU but it is the beginning of our further cooperation and collaborations and I take this opportunity to extend our contribution and cooperation towards NPU and especially to International College for any kind of help in the future.
Ladies and Gentlemen:
I must acknowledge China Scholarship Council for their support and proclaim that NPU is one of the pioneer universities in China and we are fortunate to be here among the learned professors and researchers of this university and we hope that this learning will go a long way with us in our future careers and we will contribute in the realm of technology and for the betterment of human beings and society.
By this moment, NPU has gained the wide experience of several graduated International students and this will certainly help her in defining and improving the policies, rules and regulations for the academics, research, publications, lab works and graduation procedures for the existing International students.
Ladies and Gentlemen:
Ideas get their power in the environment of peace and tranquility, and I must give this credit to the beautiful historical land of Xi’an and the love of Chinese people. Their love and respect will be remembered throughout our life, and the colors and shades of Chinese culture and civilization will always soothe our soul with its depth and serenity. We are indebted to the services offered by the NPU and especially thankful to the International Cooperation College for their cordial support and encouragement throughout our stay at the university.
I once again, pay my sincere gratitude to NPU and especially to research supervisors and faculty member and congratulate my fellow graduating students on this special occasion and wish them a happy future.
In the end I want to share a famous saying of Confucius about personal excellence, I quote

能够代表西北工业大学的全体毕业生在毕业典礼上发言是我的一项特殊荣誉。能够代表全体完成研究生学业即将毕业的学生，我感到非常愉快。我们将带着热情、活力以及新的知识重新回到工作生活中。我祝贺我的同学们通过诚实与投入的付出所换来的令人尊敬的成就。
这个时刻不仅仅对我们而言充满了快乐与自豪，对那些长期以来支持我们的家属而言也是如此。在这个值得纪念的时刻，我想向西北工业大学副校长、西北工业大学管理部门、研究生院以及国际教育学院表示中心的感谢。
我代表全体毕业生向学校职工及导师们表示感激。是他们真诚的付出培养了我们这些毕业生。我必须承认，西北工业大学的中外学生在学术、科研、课外活动方面都为我们提供了支持与合作机会。借此机会，我也感谢他们的支持、指导与帮助。祝他们心想事成。
在这个庆典的时刻，我必须承认我们就像是自己国家在中国的大使，我们觉得中国就像是第二个家。我相信所有毕业生都会珍惜这份感情，都会把这份热情与友谊带回自己的国家。在他们回国后，中国与各国的友谊会的到巩固。
今天对我们而言有两个重要的意义：第一，毕业典礼标志着我们完成了人生中的一个里程碑。第二，今天我们将为人生的下一个阶段编织新的梦想。获得学位一方面给我们带来了知识，同时也给我们带来了更多的责任。一份对家庭、对母校、对祖国、特别是对全社会的责任。
我认为今天并不是我们与西工大关系的终结，而是我们进一步合作交流的起点。我们愿意为与西工大的合作做出贡献，愿意在未来为国际教育学院提供帮助。
我也对中国国家留学基金委的支持表示感谢。西工大是处于中国领先位置的一所高校。能和博学的教授和研究人员在一起学习令我们感到很幸运。在今后的工作岗位上，我们将继续学习，在科技领域做出贡献，推动全社会全人类的进步。
灵感总是在平静与祥和中才会迸发。我对美丽的古城西安和热情的中国人民表示感谢。我们将一生铭记他们的爱与尊重。深邃的中国文化总是可以抚慰人的灵魂。我们感谢西工大为我们提供的各项服务。特别感谢国际教育学院在我们学习过程中给予的热诚支持与鼓励。
最后，我再一次对西工大至以真诚的谢意，特别是对导师们和全体教职员工。同时我也借此机会祝我的同学们有一个美好的未来。
最后，我想引用孔子关于个人成就的名言。胜利的意志、成功的渴望、彻底开发潜力的冲动，这些都是开启个人卓越成就大门的钥匙。
